Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 July 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of GuildUp (the "Website", "we", "us", or "our"), a platform for game developers to find teammates, share their work, and build a community. By creating an account or using the Website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use GuildUp. By using the Website you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
2. Your account
You are responsible for your account, for keeping your password secure, and for all activity that happens under it. Do not share your account or impersonate anyone. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. We may reserve or reclaim usernames, including those that conflict with our own pages.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use GuildUp to:
- post spam, advertising, or misleading content;
- harass, threaten, or abuse others, or post hateful content;
- upload content you do not have the rights to, or that infringes anyone's intellectual property;
- distribute malware, or files that are harmful, illegal, or deceptive;
- post sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise unlawful material;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Website.
You must also follow our community guidelines.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the projects, devlogs, images, builds, comments, and other content you post ("Your Content"). By posting it, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute Your Content in order to operate the Website, and to feature or promote it on GuildUp and our official channels (for example, a showcase or social post). This licence lasts only as long as needed to provide and promote the service, and ends when you remove Your Content, except for copies retained in backups or where others have already interacted with it.
You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights to post it. We do not claim ownership of it.
5. Projects, moderation & enforcement
Projects are submitted for review and appear publicly only after approval. We may, at our discretion and without notice, remove or reject content, add disclaimers, issue warnings, or suspend or ban accounts that breach these Terms or harm the community. You can report content through the report tools or the contact form.
6. Downloads and builds
Files hosted on or linked from GuildUp are provided by their creators, not by us. Download and run them at your own risk. We do not guarantee that any file is safe, functional, or free of defects, and we may remove files at any time.
7. Our intellectual property
The GuildUp name, logo, design, and software are ours and are protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any right to use them except as needed to use the Website normally.
8. Payments
Paid features (such as a storefront or commissions) are not currently offered. If and when they are introduced, additional terms will apply and will be presented to you before you make any payment.
9. Disclaimers
GuildUp is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, and we are not responsible for interactions or agreements between users.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, those operating GuildUp will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Website. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under law.
11. Termination
You may stop using GuildUp and delete your content at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or where we reasonably need to. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licence, disclaimers, and liability) will continue to apply.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Website after changes take effect means you accept them.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
